As part of World Breastfeeding Week, the Cypriot Breastfeeding Association of Breastfeeding “Gift of Life” is holding for the 10th year the Simultaneous Breastfeeding event all over Cyprus on Saturday, October 8, 2016. The goal is to raise awareness about breastfeeding.

This years international breastfeeding week’s theme is:
Breastfeeding: A key to Sustainable Development

Registration for participation will start at 10: 00p.m. while Simultaneous Breastfeeding will be at exactly  11: 00 a.m Cyprus time at all designated centers and maternity hospitals public and private.

The event is under the auspices of the Minister of Health and the National Committee on Breastfeeding Cyprus.
There will be kids activities for older siblings during the event as well as snacks and drinks from the sponsors.

In Larnaca our nutritionist Barbara Karafokas will be speaking about “Eating Right During Breastfeeding”, Birth and Baby Doula Erin Whitlock will introduce the pregnancy and parenting support group MotherNatal and  Regina from Blooming Baby will offer a trial workshop and any advise on baby development.
