Vedanta Yoga Centre

Vedanta Yoga Centre

Yoga has never been alien to us. We have been doing it since we were a baby! Whether it is the Cat Stretch that strengthens the spine or the Wind-Relieving pose that boosts digestion, you will always find infants doing some form of yoga throughout the day. Yoga can be many things to many people. We are here to support the well-being and personal evolution in body, mind, heart and spirit. Rather than information, women take body memories and awareness to their labour space: this is how yoga is effective.

Pregnancy Yoga

Mum and Baby Yoga Classes

every Wednesday at 10h15 at Vedanta Yoga Centre

Mum and Baby Yoga is an interactive and playful practice for mums with their new born babies (8 weeks to crawling age) with great benefits for both. It consists of three parts:

1) Exercises for mums together with their baby

2) Stretching and exercises for the baby

3) Relaxing baby massage

It is a joyful way for women to come in shape again, strengthen their muscles, regain and improve their flexibility and reconnect with their body while playing with their child.

The gentle exercises for the baby help to maintain its natural flexibility, improve the digestion and colic pain as well as the sleeping quality.

Through baby massage, calming sessions, music, singing, laughing and nurturing the baby with smooth and gentle touches, the exercises help to relax and calm both mother and child and strengthen their emotional ties and the emotional wellbeing of the baby.

Yoga is a powerful way to strengthen the physical, emotional and social abilities of the baby and it improves the bonding between mother and child which is essential for the child’s emotional and social development.
