Dr. Ender VOLKAN ÇİNAR (Ph.D.)

Dr. Ender VOLKAN ÇİNAR (Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Cyprus International University and the Microbiology Director of the Biotechnology Research Center at the same institution. Her current interests include women’s infections and cancers research, investigating novel natural and complementary therapy methods. Her publications appeared in several respected, high impact journals including Nature and PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, USA). She has obtained her Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) from Washington University in St. Louis (Missouri, USA) Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences, focusing on Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis. Her main topic of interest has been, elucidating the molecular assembly mechanisms associated with pathogenicity of Uropathogenic E. coli in Urinary Tract Infections. Her Bachelor of Science degrees are in Biology (Major) and Chemistry (Minor) from University of Missouri, Kansas City (Missouri, USA). She is passionate about science as well as empowering women, helping women learn about their choices, and providing them with the right environment to achieve a birth experience that they desire.
